Hampton Inn Uvalde

I needed a floor walk in shower for my mom. The shower was great but I needed extra towels on the floor because of a badly designed drain. The floor did not drain into the middle of the shower floor. After her first shower we learned to place at least four or five towels on the floor just outside of the shower. Desirae Mancha was working the front desk and was very understanding and a big help with the extra towels. She made sure we had water and breakfast to go when we needed it. Also, she helped me locate an Inn close to a rehab nursing home in San Antonio. She was a breath of fresh air. I will definitely stay there in the future.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Good beds and breakfast. Also nice common area with coffee. The pool area is also nice. The hotel does however need a bit of investment on the rooms which are showing a lot of wear and tear. Also the gym and equipment is on its last legs. 2 of the 3 treadmills were broken. Overall I like it here because the staff at reception are so good and its a friendly and safe hotel.

Easy enough to get to, things aren't "perfect" in the room, but good enough and better that most of the other choices in the area. For example, the toilet in my room rocks a little. The ac is always blasting on the 4th floor, but it is still humid. One of the elevators makes makes grinding sounds. It's not perfect, but it works. The people who work there are nice and helpful.

Good rooms. Good location. Breakfast was OK. Standard breakfast options-waffles, bacon, oatmeal, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurts, etc. Didn't take a picture of the "fresh" bananas but they were very brown-the kind you would use for banana bread.

My room was exactly what I was looking for but the door to my room did not latch closed when I got there. The gentleman at the front desk helped figure it out and it finally latched. The bathroom floor was sticky in a few places and the carpet needed to be vacuumed but the room was great otherwise. Water in the shower was steaming hot and exactly what I needed after a long day. I did not like the fee for parking my car and it was quite unexpected.

Triple threat! Great service! Clean! Hot breakfast that was clean! The Hotel was quiet for the most part, can’t think the hotel for stupid neighbors. There’s just one guy with the truck. He left eventually. The girls at the front desk were very professional and made us feel like family. We had a bump in the road with our digital key and they figured out and got us down the road. Will stay again.

A dated Hampton Inn but it passed my test of “would we come again.” Breakfast was So Good. Nice pool area. Attention to and training of front desk personnel is needed. We passed through the lobby many times. Each time the young woman was on her phone, talking on the phone with the speaker on, or talking to a male friend.

Everything was wonderful except when a heard of elephants got the room above us. Breakfast was a little weird. Juice cups were all the way across room. I went in to find coffee and after looking all around found it at other end of dining room. Breakfast needs to be arranged in better flow.
